Using Land Conservation For Climate Resilience

There is a growing concern regarding climate migration in cities and regions in the country. Climate migration is accompanied by an influx of population and an increase in land use activities. This will eventually increase the rate at which land is being consumed. Recognizing that excessive land consumption (rapid conversion of the natural environment to impervious surfaces) increases the risks of climate change and its impacts, building climate resilience has been at the forefront of city authorities. This playbook identifies and applies Land Conservation as a resilience response to climate risks associated with climate migration by utilizing a set of techniques and strategies.
