A Habitat Playbook for the Cincinnati Metropolitan Region

In order for the Cincinnati metropolitan region to become a successful climate haven, it must consider population growth related impacts on natural ecosystems. As the greater Cincinnati region’s population increases from climate-driven in-migration, the 10 county metropolitan area must protect and prevent the loss of valuable biodiversity, including species and habitat, if it is to become risk averse to current and future climate impacts. We must protect and strengthen habitat networks within the region while accommodating the needs of an influx of climate migrants to ensure that our food supply and other necessities are available, reliable, and regenerative.
