Climate Resilient Mobility in Greater Cincinnati: An Action Playbook for a Greener, More Sustainable Future
This project addresses the problem of mobility that will result from rising climate change and in-migration occurring in the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan region. One way to combat transportation issues is to decrease car-dependence and increase multimodal transit options and capacity. Mobility-oriented districts (MOD) are overlay districts that can provide areas with focused integrated public transportation and can help alleviate the issues with car-oriented development. The project is organized as an action playbook that includes a guide to implementing MODs in an area, existing conditions analyses, strategies, and designs presented in an ArcGIS StoryMap format. The intent is to inform and call to action not only the support of walking and public transportation over cars for the health of the environment, but for the health of us all.
