Quality Parks for Everyone
Quality Parks for Everyone evaluates access to quality parks in the 2030 District Neighborhoods. TPL identifies 87% of Cincinnati residents live within a 10-minute walk of a quality park. There’s a large inventory of parks, but TPL doesn’t have any measurable data that assess their quality. I used six measures to assess park quality; amenities, seating, walking paths, shade, plant life, and security, and found that only 5 of the 36 parks have all of these qualities present. I explored several tactical designs that can be implemented at a community level in order to meet all six of the quality park measures.
