About the Project
Over-the-Rhine is a diverse neighborhood struggling to preserve its community identity. Increasing development pressure is causing gentrification, displacing long-time residents and businesses. To combat this, anchoring affordable housing by promoting connectivity through the linkage of transit options to necessary resources within the Walnut Corridor becomes a priority. Using infill development of OTR's 872+ empty parcels will remove the financial burdens of demolition and remodeling, providing lower-cost development. Based on a thorough site analysis a series of sites were chosen, linking the Walnut Corridor and providing a sense of unification.
